Duration

The programme lasts 14 to 18 months. International students must attend regularly and punctually for a minimum of 15 hours a week in class, as per UKBA / UKVI / Home Office requirements for Tier 4 students.

Overview

The Pearson BTEC Level 7 Extended Diploma in Strategic Management and Leadership is on the QCF framework and regulated by Ofqual. It is a 120 credit qualification.

This Extended Diploma provides students with the background knowledge and skills desired in a number of middle and senior management roles. Students completing the Extended Diploma can progress on to a related Master’s Degree programme at a number of universities. Entry requirements may vary between universities, so we advise you to check with your preferred university before starting the programme with us.

Assessment

Assignment briefs are internally set by the College and externally checked / verified by Pearson. Assignments can include analysis of case studies, undertaking research projects or extended essays and presentations. Completed assignments are then internally verified / checked and then externally verified / checked by Pearson. In order to pass a unit, all assessment criteria for that unit must be achieved by the student.

Entry criteria

This is a Level 7 postgraduate qualification, so an undergraduate degree from a UK University or a qualification of equivalent value from a non-UK University or organisation (or a Level 6 qualification) is required. Several years’ relevant managerial experience is also desirable.

You must have a good standard of English, equivalent to CEFR Level B2 or above, certificated by an awarding organisation currently recognised by UKBA / UKVI / Home Office as authorised to issue these qualifications.

Progression

The Pearson BTEC Level 7 Extended Diploma in Strategic Management and Leadership programme provides much of the underpinning knowledge and skills needed for a senior management position in an organisation, should students intend to progress into employment in their country of domicile.
