In the 21st century, the internet offers endless potential for new businesses. Setting up online trade can also expand existing companies, enabling them to reach customers in many different areas.
Our E-Commerce course explores the wide range of functions required to make online companies successful such as: online payments, search engines and content management systems. Our course dispatches clear guidance on making the most of business opportunities on the Internet. Students learn the types of frameworks which facilitate these online businesses solutions such as the Microsoft Asp and .Net framework, Structured Query Language (SQL) and an introduction to relational databases to manage the data flowing in the online system.
A certificate in an English language test with an approved test provider for Tier 4 and achievement of at least CEFR level B1 in all four components (reading, writing, listening, speaking). Examples of these tests include IELTS, TOEFL, Cambridge examinations including PET, FCE, CAE, CPE, BEC and ICFE.
This development programme provides an introduction to web design and multimedia authoring in a business environment. The course will be of interest to those wishing to develop professional and work-related web design and web authoring skills and learn how to apply these skills in organisations. Use is made of Adobe CS3 (Dreamweaver, Fireworks and Flash) and MySQL, and there is a strong emphasis on complying with XHTML and CSS standards. Modules can also be taken as stand-alone short courses.
Candidates must attempt all of four modules.

This builds on the Certificate of E-commerce to provide a more advanced view of web design and multimedia authoring in a business environment. Use is made of Adobe CS3 (Dreamweaver, Fireworks, Flash, ActionScript), JavaScript, XML, Shop Creator, MySQL and PHP to build interactive web applications.
To gain the Diploma, you will need to have completed the Certificate in E-Commerce (or equivalent) and then choose four modules:
