Group Programmes
Radcliffe College introduced ‘Group Programmes’ for students who want to combine a short vacation with a general English course. . The packages include classes, accommodation, leisure activities, and transportation, so the student will always have something to do. The programme aspires to offer participants an experience they will never forget. Groups may range in size from two to forty.
Studying
On arrival students will be given a placement test to determine which classes they should go to. The minimum hours of study per week is 15, however if more study time is desired, an alternative time table can be designed. The standard class timetable is a choice of 9-12:15, 12:30-3:45 and 3:30-6:45, each three-hour class including a 15-minute comfort break.
Accommodation
Radcliffe College offers a range of accommodation to fit the students’ expectations and budgets. It may be in shared or single rooms, and in youth hostels, student houses or hotels.
Hostels and Hotels
The student can select double, single, twin en-suite or sharing dorms. We make sure we look for hostels equipped with clean and comfortable facilities to make our students’ stay in London feel like a home from home.
We offer houses to accommodate International students living in on a self-catering basis offering single and shared rooms. This is ideal for longer-term English/Diploma students. The houses are located near the heart of the Olympic Village in East London with the local train station just 5 minutes walk from the house. To commute from the student house to the College should not take more than 40 minutes. Our houses offer comfort and convenience in a quiet and relaxing environment for the student to live and study in. To ensure that standards are maintained securely, the premises are inspected every week.
We understand privacy and security are vital in shared accommodation so we look for rooms equipped with separate wardrobes and fridge freezers. Rooms are usually fitted out with modern furniture and lcd/dvd and digital TVs for entertainment when students are spending time at home. The houses also feature wireless Internet, so if students have wireless devices such as a laptop or phone, they will be able to connect to the Internet.
